Theory of Architecture

The course presents and discusses main theoretic systems and conceptual limits which define the contemporary architectural discourse and activity. Not only this course refers to communicating basic knowledge of the addressed areas, but it also questions the relation of architecture and its social, political and cultural context, observing and analysing its role in such a mapped general frame, whilst developing a whole range of necessary critic tools for true understanding and informed architectural activity within the proper complex moment. This course also develops skills of analytical and critical consideration and thinking as well as of their productive involvement in the process of creative design activity.
