Learning Outcomes:

Undergraduate University Study of Civil Engineering
Introduction to Architecture - a student will be able:
- to analyze historical periods of architecture  based on the development of function, structure and aesthetics in architecture;
- to identify  significant buildings of all historical periods, in Croatia and in the world, based on function, structure and aesthetics;
- to identify the type and the purpose of a particular spatial plan;
- to understand the function of the geodetic substrate in a particular spatial plan.

 

Graduate University Study of Architecture and Urban Planning

Protection and Restoration of Architectural Heritage Studio 1 - a student will be able to:

  • design a project for the renovation of a traditional building / complex,
  • recommend new contents suitable for a traditional building / complex,
  • choose appropriate technical solutions and materials for the restoration of traditional architecture,
  • argue decisions related to the method and content of the renovation of a traditional building,
  • envision the way of protection, restoration and presentation of the traditional equipment of the settlement


Protection and Restoration of Architectural Heritage Studio 2 - a student will be able to:

  • design a project for the restoration of a historically complex building structure,
  • recommend new contents suitable for the type of historical building,
  • choose appropriate technical solutions and materials for the restoration of historical buildings,
  • argue decisions related to the method and content of the renovation of the historic building,
  • envision the method of protection and presentation of the archaeological site.


Protection and Restoration of Architectural Heritage Studio 3 - a student will be able to:

  • evaluate a historical building/complex or archaeological site based on all available data (bibliographic, historical, graphical, archaeological, research results, etc.).
  • critically assess the potential for new construction within a historical context.
  • evaluate the appropriateness of integrating new elements into a historical building/complex.
  • recommend methods for the restoration of historical buildings or the presentation of archaeological sites.
  • develop and justify the proposed method and scope of restoration for historical buildings/complexes or the presentation of archaeological sites.

- a student will be able:
