The first International Multicriteria Workshop devoted to the PROMETHEE methods was organized in January 2014 in Brussels by Professor Cathy Macharis (VUB, Belgium). It was a success and it has been followed by a second workshop organized in January 2015, in Brussels again, by Professor Yves De Smet (ULB, Belgium). The third workshop was organized by Professor Jean-Philippe Waaub (UQAM, Canada) in Montréal in May 2016, together with the Optimization Days conference. This first workshop outside of Europe was a success too, with many participants coming from North and South America. The name “PROMETHEE Days” was also introduced in 2016 to clearly set the focus on the PROMETHEE methods and to increase the visibility of the workshops. The PROMETHEE Days 2017 workshop has been organized by Professor Alessio Ishizaka as a stand-alone meeting at the University of Portsmouth (UK). The PROMETHEE Days 2018 workshop has been organized by Professor Jason Papathanasiou (University of Macedonia, GR) and took place in Heraklion (GR) in May 2018 together with the ICDSST 2018 meeting of the EWG-DSS (EURO Working Group on Decision Support Systems).
