Earth observation for a sustainable built environment

Prezentacija novog izbornog predmeta na engleskom jeziku održat će se u četvrtak, 11. lipnja 2026. godine u 11 sati u učionici C9. Predmet će biti ponuđen studentima građevinarstva, arhitekture i geodezije koji će imati priliku zajedno raditi na temi održivih gradova. Prezentaciju će održati dr.sc. Mirko Barada iz tvrtke LIST LABS. Projekt je financiran od strane European Space Agency. Uz FGAG, kao nositelja projekta, na projektu sudjeluje tvrtka LIST LABS iz Zagreba i Pinus Nigra iz Splita.

Earth observation data helps create a sustainable built environment by monitoring changes in urban areas, assessing environmental impacts, and supporting the development of climate-resilient cities. It enables data-driven decision-making for urban planning by mapping land use, green spaces, building stocks, and infrastructure, and it aids in predicting and mitigating natural hazards like floods and fires. By providing comprehensive, multi-scale data, Earth observation data informs strategies for energy efficiency, solar energy deployment, and the management of urban ecological infrastructure, contributing to more livable and sustainable communities.
