The RESCOP project - monitoring marine ecosystems using remote sensing in spatial planning - focuses primarily on exploring the potential applications of multifunctional models to support maritime spatial planning in Croatia and Norway, taking into account anthropological pressures and climatic challenges.
The project is financed by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund as part of the bilateral program 'Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation with Norway in Green Transition', with a total value of 500,000.00 EUR. The RESCOP project has been allocated an amount of 99,810.05 EUR, of which 50,361.00 EUR was granted to the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy (FCEAG) at the University of Split (FGAG-UNI ST), and 49,449.05 EUR was awarded to the project's Norwegian partner, the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (NERSC).
The project lasted 12 months. As part of the project, pilot measurements were carried out at the mouth of the Jadro River in Split, online seminars were held on various topics related to the application of remote sensing on the coast and in the oceans, and activities were organised to exchange knowledge and experience between practises in Norway and Croatia.
The final workshop of the project will be held for two days at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in the Faculty's Council room (ground floor):
Day 1 – 18.3.2024 from 9:30 am.
Day 2 – 19.3.2024 from 9:30 am.
